It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Frank J. Torres Frank was born on October 10, 1939 in San Fernando California. Frank passed away on Friday January 3, 2020 in the City of Sylmar, California. at the age of 80. Frank was a long time resident of the San Fernando Valley. He enlisted in the Army and following worked at General Motors for 30 years. Frank was a social activist and participated in many civil rights marches. He supported the Farm Workers Movement and was a founding member of El Proyecto Del Barrio which provides human and health services for underserved populations. Frank is survived by his loving wife Carrie Torres and their children Monica, Barbara, & Rosanna. He is survived by his 11 Grand Children whom he loved dearly. Frank is predeceased by his Parents Luis & Felipa. Frank will be lovingly remembered as a loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend to all. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
