Lita Arellano

Lita Arellano was born on December 18, 1938 In Pecos, New Mexico. She went home to be with our Lord on December 3, 2023. She attended school in Pecos, New Mexico from Elementary to High school where she became a majorette at Pecos High School. Lita loved her Catholic faith,Nascar; Hallmark Christmas movies, traveling and camping. She lived for Christmas and could not wait to decorate inside and out of her many homes. She always made sure to put her lights up as early as possible to prolong the festive holiday. She is preceded in death by her mother Reney Martinez, step father Antonio Ortega, brother Fidel Dofflemyer, and sister Gloria (Punky) Dofflemyer . She is survived by her husband of 57 years Danny Arellano. In 1965 Danny and Lita got in their blue Chevy with their 4 daughters and left Santa Fe, New Mexico for Glendale, California. She is also survived by her four daughters and their respective husbands. Her 9 Grandchildren and their respective spouses. 13 great grandchildren, and Her younger siblings Molly Dofflemyer, Kathy Mendonca, brother William Dofflemyer and Very special aunt Gail Danuz. Upon arrival she immediately started working for Goldak Company in production for gas leak detectors. Lita retired from Goldak 59 years later. Her favorite actors were Chuck Norris and his role as "Walker Texas Ranger" which led her and Danny into buying Dodge Ram trucks. She was also a fan of actor/musician Lorne Greene for his role as "Ben Cartwright" and actor James Arness as "Marshall Matt Dillon" Her favorite kind of music was Classic Country and Western.She loved anything by "The king of Country music" George Strait. She was there for his 1st year of touring and she was there for his retirement tour as well. She also loved musicians like Tex Ritter, Marty Robbins, Gene Autry, Burl Ives, Ray Stevens, George Burns and Elvis Presley. Another musician that always made her smile was Michael Martin Murphy, a country singer from Santa Fe. She loved President Trump and was a very strong supporter and had no problem telling you that she was. Services for Lita will be held at: Our Lady of Lourdes: 7344 Apperson St, Tujunga, California on Saturday December 30th @ 12.00 p.m.
